Great morning to you!… I am totally in a crate digging mood. I received an email with a link to a beat making video. This link inspired me to change all my “r&b” beat making plans for today lol….YoU know it must be awesome…
Hey Hey all… how’s your week going? I started pretty slow Monday, after staying up until the wee hours in the morn watching my Ravens loose to the Steelers booo… lol … but you know I still love the Ravens and we’re in good enough standings to make the playoffs…
I’ve really been playing a lot of tracks off “Pink Friday”. I noticed when I first heard “I’m The Best”, I immediately recognized the violin riff toward the end. I thought to myself “that’s the mad violinist for sure”.
I hadn’t had time to search all the track info, but knew it was produced by Kane Beatz. Ashanti “The Mad Violinist” is signed to Kane Beat’s The Building production team. I got confirmation from The Mad Violinist Twitter page, it is indeed him. Here is the snippet with the violin part: I’m The Best Violin Solo
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Ashanti has been doing a lot of new covers and freestyles. This guy is so talented, and you can see he is passionate about his craft. Check out his renditions of Rick Ross’s “BMF” and Alicia Keys’s “Un-Thinkable”:
The Mad Violinist goes IN HEAVY on B.M.F. by Rick Ross cover
Alicia Keys – Un-Thinkable (I’m Ready) on Violin
I could listen to him play for hours. Gonna check up and see what projects he’s got going on…
Hey Hey All! .. How is your week starting? I’ve been getting prepared to do the video tutorials .. yaaay.. I figured why not record one and post today to kick it off. I was a little nervous, but it turned out pretty decent.
This tutorial shows how to load a free Kore Player, and the Ni Maschine into Reaper, then route Maschine to use Kore Player Fx.
I stumbled onto to this today after re-installing my free Kore Player. I haven’t gone through all the effects yet, but I plan to use them on more sounds than drums. Although I used the Kore Fx on Maschine in the tutorial, you can replace Maschine with the instrument of your choice. Just select io after adding your plug-in, and add a send to the track where you have the Kore Player…
Afternoon to ya! I’ve been doing some non-music projects over the last few days. Preparing to do photography and video for a wedding this weekend. I also had a chance to be with my family for a nice cook out Sunday. We had a wonderful time and the food was great
Today I am fiddling around with wires, trying to network a Windows 7 pc with a Windows Xp pc. So far so good, if not; I’ll have two set ups. One will be all digital w/ software, and the other will include hardware equipment.
You know me, I have to watch something, or have music going when I’m doing “under the desk” wire connections ..lol. I found a nice beat making documentary that I’m about to push play on. I know a lot of you will enjoy this, it’s more like a movie actually: Beat Makers

Hey all… Who’s ready for some football? You all know I love my Ravens .. 1st preseason game is tomorrow night, so I’ve got much work to do today. I want to get some “game day” food, and be able to watch the game from start to finish ….woo hoo…
I got an email yesterday from Dynamic Producers. I had no idea “Kanyeezy” was doing ustream. He’s been taking over the net with post about his tweets. I’ve got love for Kanye, I respect his passion for music. I don’t like some of the things he does, but I give him props on the production tip. Over all I think he’s an interesting guy, when he tames the ego.. He explains a lot in this video…Thanks to Felisha Booker for the find..
He’s very open about his craft…a lot of artist hide so much. I think it’s good to share, because up coming artist can learn so much…
**Quick Ms.Tris Beats Update**
I am finally back on my beat grind. I can never tell when I’ll get busy with artist. This fall I plan to settle down a bit, and work on me. I am feeling so good about creating right now. I am in a different phase of my career as a producer, and need to reach some goals. Expect more beats to be added here, and on my soundclick page. I loaded a Club Beat this week, you can listen to it here:
All I have to say to this is “ooh I want one!!” ..

Hundreds of athletes get motivated and pumped up before they make an entrance to the field, arena, or court. You’ve seen them in their huddles, or coming into the ring doing all kinds of little rituals. Have you ever noticed how many of the routines are done to music?
I often do the same thing when I’m starting a beat. Yesterday I sat down to make a track with a dirty south feel, and winded up doing a smooth R&B composition. I had every intention on making some rolling snares and boomy 808 drums. When I started the beat at the end of a long day, I just wasn’t in a “mind state” for a hard core hip hop session.
Although I’m prepared now, this morning I felt like cleaning instead of working. I’m sure many of you go through times when you just don’t feel like it. This is when you have get yourself motivated like the athletes. When I need to get in a certain mood, I listen to songs or watch videos that give certain emotional spark. Since I haven’t been doing many hard hitting sample beats this month, I went straight to a few Mpc videos on youtube.
Dipset producer Araab Muzik ( MoneyHungryRadio.com)
This was posted by moneyhungryradio.com about a year ago. It’s the initial video that got Araab his internet buzz. Today was my first time watching, and he’s definitely an mpc power user…
After watching this I am totally in the mood to do some chopping, and I’m now a fan of Araab … Araab Interview
I know, I know …Dude is sick with the mpc right?…..
