What’s up with you? It’s Friday… yay! Who will go to the superbowl after this weekend? I am not as excited as I would have been if the RAVENS were playing..lol but can’t wait to watch the games….

Now that I am on my way to becoming a great engineer, I have really been trying out different effect plug ins. I have some that I bought, and plenty freebies from the net. I haven’t gotten into all of them, but I found a few on my pc that have helped me tweak and mix a lot better than before.
Kvr’s Developers Challenge 1st place winner Bootsie has some serious free plug ins!!
I have had his collection sitting on my hard drive forever. I decided to give them a try last week. So far I am so stuck on the NastyVCS vst. I have tried it on kicks, snares, percs., and most often the final mix. It’s a console strip type vst. Bootsie describes it as “..tools for tone and dynamic shaping purposes..”
Not only does it actually work and work well, I am loving the design! You can tell all of the vsts took a lot of time to develope. Most of them are multi functional. You can use them on single tracks, or entire mixes. Here are images of two more that I plan to use today:
