Hey all…hope things are going wonderful. Today I feel free as a bird. We got a little more snow, but we can get out! The streets are lined with a bunch of snow mountains. The actual pavement is clear in most areas finally.

I have a lot to do here during the rest of the month. I have several features lined up, and a few nice tutorials ready to roll. I am excited about some music moves I’ll be making soon. You know I’ll keep you up to date.

I’ve had a lot of time to check out videos and read during the two blizzards. I stumbled across some cool music coming out of New Orleans.

Galactic is a mixture of many genres that give life to the N.O. music scene. I always imagined what it’s like to live in such music filled atmosphere.

This is a short intro to Glactic Ya Ka May. I enjoyed watching this and I’m sure many of you will too..

Hey all! How are you today? We got snow again last night. I thought it would be more but it’s not too bad outside as far as driving. I have a few graphic sessions later. I’m still adjusting the lab, moving out old pc, dusting, and checking out some videos while I do.

Reaper is my DAW of choice right now. I’m loving the ease of use, and the sound I’m getting from it. The video I’m posting next has shown me some cool shortcuts and functions I hadn’t used.

If you are thinking about getting or already using Reaper this is a must see to easily learn a few tips.

Roland Fantom G In Action

Hey all..did you see the site going crazy over the last few days… I tell ya, being a webmaster is a lot of work sometimes.. but of course you are worth every bit

Guess what?… I’m not sure if I like the touch pc for music yet lol. I think it’s me getting used to mixing in the digital domain. I have to reset levels and Daw templates etc. You’ll notice when you mix, your ears and eyes get trained to your mixing environment quickly. Once you change things , you have to start fresh…I’ll keep you posted…

I am happy that the site is back up.. so let’s get to some music goodies..

I will get a Roland Fantom G6 or G7 this year ( ). I have been wanting a replacement for my Ensoniq ASR10 which is my main controller right now. I don't really use the Asr10 for beat making anymore. I like both hardware and software. I really love having something I can just turn on and get straight to work like I did with the Ensoniq. Since I plan to save up for it, I'm checking the videos out this week...

Awesome workstation for sure..expect more on the Roland Fantom this year. This is a good thing to do for any new equipment you plan to purchase. By the time you get it, you’ll be up and running faster from watching videos or reading info.

You know I’m a fan of Boon Doc’s Beats and videos. He’s gotten some new additions to his lab. In this one he steps away from the norm and gets into a real rock type track. He’s not using the mpc1000. He’s using the Akai Mpd and Logic Pro to cook up a hot one. I’m loving how true the instruments sound coming out of Logic. I know Just Blaze uses the program as well. Quick Update: Be Back Next Week

Hey all! I am in here setting up my new pc… I didn’t plan to have this comp, but my friend doesn’t like the touch screen. I will surely take it because I really did need to update. Its the HP Touch Smart 300.

At first I didn’t know if it would work, but I am making it happen. I will finally be going all digital as far as mixers. I’ve connected the Edirol M-16DX as the only soundcard. We’ll see how it goes. I’m gonna be rolling hard so I can sell beats to pay for this beauty lol…

I’ve also been starting to train my little puppy. She is adorable, and TINY 2.6 lbs. She’s a good puppy and really smart, so shes not difficult to work into our home…well at least not for the humans The kitten is still saying “take her back” lol

Along with the above, preparing for a session with Alicia Keys percussionist, Pablo Baptista . He’s producing the official Latin Mix of ” I Dance”, the gospel song I did with Karen Domino White. You know I’m feeling great about all this right ?
