It’s Thursday, almost through another week. I was looking online for a bit of music theory. I’m returning to my guitar lessons. I just got my guitar back after lending it for a few studio sessions. I made a club track which I used a guitar vst. I knew it would sound better with live guitar so I had to find an advanced guitarist. It’s a shame ..I wanted to play the part on my guitar so bad ..lol… but hey, it’s always great to collab and learn from those who already know what you don’t…

This site has been around for a long time. Today was my first time checking out the macProVideoDotCom Youtube channel. Honestly this has to be my best find in 2012. Music tutorials galore, and even more important for my college courses..Web Design help!

I know there is enough information for me to join for at least one year. I am already in class mode, so this is perfect timing. I will be helping promote and using the site often. What’s Goodie?!! It’s spring yezzzz, I love this time of the year. I’ve been working hard on some of those projects I told you about. I’ll be posting promos on artist Stevie Krizz, and Shanz Holmes very soon. I even dusted the mic off and spit a few hot sixteens. We may be onto something, because everyone is giving good reviews about the new music. School is cool, and I’m also working hard in my design courses. ….I have to meet up with engineer Mark Carey @StreetLegal Studios today. We are mixing the Gospel Track “Touch The Moon” by Karen Domino( Fats Domino’s daughter) White. The track has a whopping 99 vocal tracks! Yes I am really learning some new mixing tricks with this one for sure.

Here’s a little early inspiration for ya. I was wondering about Scott Storch. You hear so much in the news, I’m happy to see he’s getting back to the music.

Good day to you and yours! It’s so beautiful outside, we’re having 70 degree weather in March, quite unusual. For the past few hours, I’ve been upgrading all my software. I’ve been so busy I didn’t know Ni Maschine released a 1.7.2 update. I was about to load up a beat template, and found myself really wishing Native Instruments added level meters to Maschine’s sampler channels. I’ve been finding they help a lot while doing little adjustments along the way.

After all this time, someone on the Ni forum mentioned loading a free plug in into an fx slot. Bingo! Great idea. I think I have a few on my hard drive which will work. The one mentioned on the post was the ” Sonalksis Free G”.

I think this will work perfectly. I don’t want to use a lot of CPU so I will keep them on my “Group” inserts. This way I can monitor things without having too many “Free G” plugins installed on each channel. Another cool thing is it works as a fader as well.

Hey all what is super good with you? Last semester I did full time Design and Color Theory classes. That was very tough! Some weeks I had to do eight designs, so that’s where I was. Guess what? I made very high grades all A’s yes!! Thanks for being patient I’m back to the music and blogging as I have a lighter semester ahead.
Here’s a little sample of the work I’ve been doing. I’m in the very basic fundamental classes right now, but I’ve learned so much about design and color principles. I’m happy I went back to school, again a big thank you all for your emails, and continued visits.
FND115 & FND112 Assignments:

I will definitely be adding more assignments to the Art and Design page here for people who may need help with design courses. While working I found a few sites which students posted work. This really helped me a lot, maybe I can help the next rising artist.

Hey Hey ..how is it going for you? I’m doing and feeling awesome, and I hope all is well for you also…..

O.k. so I’ve calmed down over my Akai hype. Last week I posted twice about the new products. I am back to work today. I recently updated to Studio One 2, and I am really enjoying this DAW. I loaded Maschine and routed the outputs in a couple clicks. It’s very easy to do, and I’ve made a brief video showing you how:

I’m still working out a few things with the mic and levels but this was fun! I’ll be adding many more videos this year woo hoo…Lets Go!
