How To Use Kore Fx With Maschine Inside Reaper

Posted by Ms.Tris On September - 20 - 2010

Hey Hey All! .. How is your week starting? I’ve been getting prepared to do the video tutorials .. yaaay.. I figured why not record one and post today to kick it off. I was a little nervous, but it turned out pretty decent. :)

This tutorial shows how to load a free Kore Player, and the Ni Maschine into Reaper, then route Maschine to use Kore Player Fx.

I stumbled onto to this today after re-installing my free Kore Player. I haven’t gone through all the effects yet, but I plan to use them on more sounds than drums. Although I used the Kore Fx on Maschine in the tutorial, you can replace Maschine with the instrument of your choice. Just select io after adding your plug-in, and add a send to the track where you have the Kore Player…

Site Update: 9-15-10

Posted by Ms.Tris On September - 15 - 2010

Hey to all my wonderful supporters..just a little note to let you know I will be posting again very soon. This last technical mishap really put me in an ” I just don’t feel like it” mood. Between editing video, and photos..making beats..running sessions…taking care of puppies and..well,.. I think you get what I’m saying…lol.. I just couldn’t move myself to write anything worth publishing.

This one hit me hard because I spent so much time getting the new improved site going and rolling smooth. The problem this time was, my site pointed to a wrong directory on the server. I’m just happy I finally had time to get things fixed…”one more again”.. Thanks (for the 4th time) for sticking with me…you know I always come back even better :) ..

While I’m on technical site stuff, please remember that I feed off your input. I know we’ve been through a few downtimes… but keep the comments coming so I’ll know what tutorials you need, what you like, or even don’t like. Your comments are appreciated much. All I ask is keep them clean, and spam free…I usually answer as soon as I can, within a couple days or before the end of the week…

Much love to All…

How To Enhance A Snare Drum

Posted by Ms.Tris On September - 1 - 2010

Well Well Well I’m sure you’re saying :) … I’ve been on a roll with my other jobs lately. I went to Philadelphia last weekend. I was there doing video and photos for a wedding. It was very beautiful, and I even got to hang out with my cousin in Philly for a while.

I’ve also been clearing the way for classes. I wanted to start now, but I had to push it back a bit. It’s cool because I have a lot going on, and I’d like to finish all music projects first.

I am about to edit the wedding material. The video takes a very long time to upload to the pc. I could watch a little t.v while it’s loading…No way! let’s get to some music :)

I have talked so much about kick drums here. I can’t let you forget how important it is to have a cracking snare as well. Many producers don’t pay much attention to the snare. This is where you can add a little extra to your over all sound.
