BET Awards 2010: My Favorites

Posted by Ms.Tris On June - 28 - 2010

Good Morning All! I had so much fun watching the BET 2010 Awards last night. My twitter timeline was hilarious the whole time lol.

I think this was one of the best years for the award show. They had a nice mix of hiphop, r&b, and even some gospel. I wanted to share some of my favorite performances:

P DIDDY DOES IT AGAIN! Dirty Money last night? Woo Wee I absolutely loved this segment. I already liked the song from when they performed it on American Idol…but today I had to go find the mp3!! Mr. Combs really knows how to entertain..
Dirty Money- Hello Goodmorning

The big talk of the night was Chris “Breezy’s” Micheal Jackson Tribute…. WOW!! He did an excellent job. He got so filled up at the end, that he could not even sing ” Man In The Mirror”. I am one who thinks, and feels deeply, so I can see how he got emotional. I know a lot of my friends are saying ” that was for promotion”..but I think his life issues came to a mental peak last night. If it was to get his career back in motion? It probably worked better than who ever conjured up the inappropriate idea expected..

Drake is a cool guy from all I’ve heard and seen of him. His performance last night was as I anticipated, flawless. He’s a smart artist. He seems as if he plans his moves wisely. So far they’ve worked like a charm 🙂

BET pulled a fast one throwing in a very nice performance from El Debarge. If I begin to explain how much The Debarge’s music has influenced my life, that’d be another whole post lol…. I will add that El Debarge was one of the first artist I “tried” to sample when I started producing…

Nice recap. I agree, Chris Brown’s performance was very emotional and it came across sincere and genuine.
Even if he went into the performance expecting, or planning to show us that side of him (premeditated)…he sure did share a huge part of his personal battle and it morphed into one of the most passionate performances i’ve seen in a long while.

  2. Heeeyyy Jahli!..thanks for taking time to comment 🙂
I agree totally. Chris is a pretty cocky dude in my opinion (this is based on interviews and his little youtube videos)…. I can’t escape the thoughts of him rehearsing how he was gonna do he probably had no idea it’d go that far… like telling the roller coaster operator to stop after crossing the peak of the hill…

TY again for the comment…. pz til later
