Posted by Ms.Tris On March - 26 - 2010

“Turn It Up” Stress Dollaz produced by Ms.Tris Beats

Hey Hey all .. this is how I like to network. Stress was one of the 1st artist I posted about: feature-artist-stress. His manager reached out to me when I was a new blogger. It took us a while due to my schedule. I finally got Stress some beats, now we are rolling with some heat!
This has a super catchy hook…

Other than Baltimore artist, I haven’t posted alot of music I produced on the site yet. Some projects I work on are complete albums. Since it’s a joint effort, I respect when the artist wants me to blast material or not. To all artist that I’ve done songs with, just let me know what you want me to post.

I’ve made a few more connections with new artist here, know that we will be moving on our songs soon. ( Purp Reynolds out of cali is next)

I will be adding much more now that everyone seems to be doing mixtapes. It’s the perfect time for music so you can play it your vehicles during nice weather :-)

SoundsAndGear.Com Maschine W/ Reaper Setup by Saint Joe

Posted by Ms.Tris On March - 25 - 2010

Well the week is almost over. I am in here working hard as usual. I have the Maschine fired up. I am learning this thing quickly. I must try not to overload you with NI Maschine stuff..but honestly I am loving this a lot!

Anther reason I purchased it, is due to Saint Joe over at soundsandgear.com. He posted a video showing how to use Reaper as a VST Rack, controlling every thing from Maschine. Wow! This means I can rewire Fl Studio, Reason, and load plugins in Reaper while sequencing on Maschine. He explained the set up and included a template…

Native Instruments Maschine sequence vsts in standalone mode

I went back to his site and found a follow up on how to track everything out using Reapers ReRoute and downloaded the 2nd template:

NI Maschine tracking out beats like an MPC

When I had a day to go through Saint Joes site, I was impressed. He actually reviews all things we love about music production. He’s definitely a gear junkie like me :-) . When I signed up for his site I started receiving free sounds the first day. I learned so much from him in just a couple weeks. He’s not only giving great reviews, but he responds to comments super fast.

I am sure every producer will find soundsandgear.com worth bookmarking. Head on over and remember to subscribe. Let him know MsTrisMusic sent you…

Native Instruments Maschine

Posted by Ms.Tris On March - 22 - 2010

I was really saving up for the Roland Fantom G Workstation. During the time my site was down, my trusty Asr-10 would not boot. I have had that keyboard for over 10 years :-( . When change comes sometimes you just have to go with the flow. I decided to dip into my Fantom money and buy an Edirol Midi Controller, a new KRK Rokit 5 monitor to replace a broken one, and a motu usb midi interface.

Before going to Guitar Center, I stumbled upon a few videos on NI Maschine. I was interested in this, but never looked into it further. After two days of researching and reading. I was completely sold.

I began to think of all the possibilities. For 1 third of the price of a Fantom, I could use Maschine, and as many sounds as I have on my hard drive. I took a look around my studio and thought long and hard about my set up. Where am I going to put another piece of large hardware?

I have mentioned how much I enjoy using hardware and software together. I finally understand midi connections etc. I found out that I could use Maschine to control vst instruments in Reaper through proper midi settings. This was the cherry on top for me!

I purchased Maschine and I love it. I’ve only been able to work on music a couple days in two weeks. I made 3 beats using Maschine within those 2 days. It was real easy to get started, something I was hoping to achieve with the Fantom. The greatest thing for me is no delay when playing melodies in real time. The software can be controlled from the hardware unit, with basically no latency.

There are a few things that could be improved. Another plus is Native Instruments can improve Maschine by updating the software. expect many tutorials on Maschine here once I really get started :-)

Here are a few videos so you can see why I’m so excited:

Update: New Theme

Posted by Ms.Tris On March - 22 - 2010

Woo Hoo how are all of you? We are back up and running with a new theme. I know some of you probably thought you landed on the wrong site this morn. Well I am so happy that MsTrisMusic.Com is back on track.

I am still editing the sizes of pictures and adding a few graphic upgrades today. I like this theme even better than the last. I will be talking to the developer to check about getting this one done in an exclusive design. That won’t be until later on. I have to make sure this works with wordpress updates first.

So far so good. If you get to a post that has pictures overlapping, please know I am going through 301 post 1 by 1 to fix this issue.

Thanks for your support and patience during down time..much love.
P.S. I will be answering all comments between now and Wednesday..

Okay! …Work Around While Fixing The Site

Posted by Ms.Tris On March - 21 - 2010

Hey all it’s so sunny here today..but guess where I am? STUCK here at the pc trying to fix my site lol. It’s been a very hard week. I don’t know if someone hacked the site or what. There is great news though :-) as you can see I didn’t lose my post.

I know I’ve spent at least 60 hours this week alone trying to figure out whats going on. I am no expert at coding, but I think I found a decent fix for a while. It will take even more hours to get all my links back in place. I will definitely be changing the design and theme over the next few weeks.

I loved the layout of the site you are all used to. I mentioned before that eventually I’d have to change it due to the themes developer ceasing updates. I think it’s best to do it now.

We’ve had a rocky year huh? Don’t worry I will be back in full swing..bigger and better than before.

For those waiting on features, you are still in the line up. As soon as I get everything going I’ll get your music heard.

Ok so get back to reading the post you love..welcome new readers! I am off to coding again..stay tuned because I’ll keep you posted..
