This Looks Cool: BeatKangs The Beat Thang

Posted by Ms.Tris Beats On July - 21 - 2009

Today is flying by… been working hard on a mix for a gospel cd. (notice I said MIX :-), yes I am finally getting used to it)…

I came across a bit of info on The Beat Thang a little while back, I actually thought they were joking because of the 1st video:

Beat Thang Real or Fake

Today I see they have already been to the 2009 Winter NAMM show…

Whoa! This looks cool!
I have enough gear right now, but If I get an extra $999.00 from a scratch off I might buy

The features that make this worth it are:
Usb output, 2 16gb cards, Chromatic pads, Portable, and included phantom power for a mic connection… If you can add an external hard drive straight to this to save and retrieve files, then this is probably worth it..Let’s check it out in action….

Gonna keep my eye out for this one, I’d like to hear how the kicks sound. Maybe they will have it on display at the Guitar Center..

..from The BeatKangs Electronics Site
The Beat Thang is brought to you by:
“The Beat Kangs who conceptualized and created the sounds for the Zoom SB-246 Streetboxx™, the company’s biggest selling rhythm machine to date.”

I felt the same way at first too, but then I peeped the specs on it and I contacted them. It looks like a joke, but it looks like they pulled it off. Can’t wait to try it out.

ps. I’m selling my mpc 500, holla at me if you know anybody interested.
