Mysto & Pizzi On The Openlabs Neko
Boy did I get caught up in a spiral of production videos yesterday..I was working on the Mpc (finally)… I almost finished the beat..checked my email..and that was it..lol… I really have to be careful with that, I was clicking and clicking….but as usual I learned a lot. Before I get back to the soulful beat I was making, you know I had to share some of the things I found….
The Open labs Neko is sweat!~This is a very nice all in one pc and workstation that came out I think sometime in 03-04. Timbaland has a custom one which includes the Asr 10 sound library in a smaller version called “Meko”. Both are expensive, really not something I’d rush and buy because I already have a pc and sound module. I’ve watched the demos, and came across Mysto and Pizzi’s blog where they have a 30 minute session on video.They are really producing a track here:

Next up Ryan Tedder a 19 year old pianist/ drummer. I really enjoyed his talent and funny shorts on his channel. … he even puts on the ” I’m playing the greatest melody ever” face .. Check out the chords used around 2:00min. He’s on his way to being the next Rodney Jerkens type producer..
