I know I know featured artist weren’t supposed to arrive until June…But, Prezidential Records gave me the up on 2 artist who are making power moves you need to know about like… yesterday…
In this crazy world of Hip Hop, independent labels are arriving on the scene in record numbers. Some are bad , some are good, then you have those considered Great! The labels which are great usually consist of “Five Hots”
1. Hot Artist, 2. Hot Production,3. Hot Songs 4. Hot Management, 5. Hot Promotion.
I know there is far more criteria, but in general these are extremely important. When all these consistantly come together..whaaaala! I’ll be promoting artist and labels that are utilizing the ” Five Hots”, and making power moves in the game. Lets learn from one another as we grow into greatness, always improving our ” Five Hots”…shine artist shine!

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Gdash is a very complex but introspective person. He is innovative, spontaneously creative, and very sincere when it comes to bringing passion to song writing. He began song writing as well as poetry at age 14 when he won his first poetry-writing contest on poetry.com. This eventually led to one of his poems, “Concealed Love for a Mother” to be published in a booked called Eckos of Nature in 1998.
Gdash is highly inspired by artist like Nas, Biggie, 2 Pac, Jay-Z, and Wu-tang. In addition to that, R&B artists like Dru Hill, 112, and K-C & Jojo. These artists gave him the essence of real soulful music. They helped him dig deep within himself to bring forth something he never thought he had. They made Gdash realize that his gift to offer this world was his talent in song writing and becoming an entertainer. Hip-hop gave him energy and it urges him to express his emotions and love for hip-hop in a unique verbal sense. R&B brought him over the edge of more then just a lyricists but one who writes for singers as well. Profoundly infatuated with music, he calls music his “girlfriend”. In the absence of his parenal care. He has even endeavored in forms of writing like one act plays and movie scripts
Through Ondrea Smith (LL cool j’s mother) and Antonio (Famtazik Ent.), he managed to create a commercial song for the Angie Martinez show on Hot-97 in the summer of 2004. Gdash was invited to open for Ja-Rule at Queens Community College in 2004. He has also performed at Kings Borough College. He recently performed at the Adelphi University Fashion Show in April 2007 and the Farmingdale University Talent Show May 2007. Gdash has also shown his support by performing at the Sean Bell memorial along with Ed Lover. Gdash has performed with DMC from Run DMC at a show for local artists in New York City. Gdash has performed at the Apollo Theater the fall of 2007. Also he will be making his debut performance on BET 106&Park Wild Out Wednesday june4th 2008.
